Harvest Wine Tasting on Nov 20 will benefit SCI

SCI will kick off this holiday season with a Harvest Wine Tasting on November 20th from 4-6pm at J. Mulkerin Realty. The event will feature a tasting led by Certified Wine Specialist Jenifer Murray of Urban Chef Catering, as well as some light appetizers. SCI and J. Mulkerin Realty teamed up to host a wine tasting last year as part of its biannual Holiday House Tour. It was such a success that SCI President David Crowley decided to bring back the tasting as a standalone event this year. J. Mulkerin Realty is located at 616 Main St, Woburn. Special thanks to Joanne Mulkerin for graciously hosting this event!Read more

Social Capital Inc. (SCI), a nonprofit organization based in Woburn, is currently seeking volunteers for their newest project, Woburn Volunteers for Seniors. This project will match isolated and handicapped seniors with local volunteers, who will assist them in various outdoor chores such as snow shoveling and leaf removal. Volunteers will also be on call in case of sudden, heavy snowfall that, without assistance, could leave many seniors homebound. SCI will collaborate with the Woburn Senior Center and the Woburn Council on Aging for the project.Read more
