SCI Snow Shoveling Program

Want to help Woburn Seniors? Volunteer to shovel snow with SCI!

In partnership with the Woburn Senior Center and the Woburn Council on Aging, SCI Social Capital Inc. is once again coordinating its annual SCI Snow Shoveling Program to help local seniors with snow removal.

SCI is seeking volunteers of all ages who are interested in assisting local seniors with shoveling their walkways for safe passage to and from their homes after a snowstorm. This program is a valuable service for Woburn seniors who need their neighbor’s help during the winter months.

Throughout this winter season, volunteers will assist their assigned senior citizens with snow shoveling. Volunteers are matched with seniors, ideally near their residential area. Volunteers can choose to be available throughout the winter season or be on call. The weather forecast will be monitored by SCI, and volunteers will be notified when there will be snow and what to expect.

If you would like to volunteer, please sign up above or contact Serey Kremer, SCI AmeriCorps Community Engagement Coordinator, at skremer@socialcapitalinc.org. It is also a great experience for families, groups, and clubs looking to get involved in the community as well as students looking for community service hours!

For seniors in Woburn who need free snow shoveling assistance this winter season please contact Serey Kremer, SCI AmeriCorps Community Engagement Coordinator, by email at skremer@socialcapitalinc.org or directly by phone at 978-798-2520 to sign up.
