The 2024 SCI Idealist Awards highlight the event, honoring individuals who dedicate their lives and influence to address critical community needs. We are thrilled to be presenting the 2024 SCI Idealist Award to Nora Moreno Cargie, Ayele Shakur, and SCI Rising Idealist Jean E. Dolin.

Nora Moreno Cargie (Ella/She)

Nora Moreno Cargie has a dual role at Point32Health: vice president of corporate citizenship and president for Point32Health Foundation. A leading voice for changing inequitable systems change, Nora has been recognized throughout her career for her candid and authentic engagement. Ayele Shakur (She/Her)

Ayele Shakur brings over three decades of experience as an innovator in urban education. She is currently President of the Redstone Family Foundation, whose mission is to combat racism and antisemitism primarily through civics and cross-cultural education for children, youth, and families while also including the broader community. Jean Dolin (He/Him/His)

Our first SCI Rising Idealist, Jean Dolin is the visionary Founder & President of the newly launched Boston LGBTQ+ Museum of Art, History and Culture. With a passion for celebrating and preserving the rich heritage of the LGBTQ+ community, Dolin has demonstrated exceptional leadership and creative acumen through his innovative curation of spaces and artistic projects.
