Open AmeriCorps Position & New Host Partners Needed

The SCI AmeriCorps Program is currently looking to fill three available Member positions at East Boston Community Soup Kitchen, METCO, Inc. and with SCI Woburn! SCI AmeriCorps Members support youth development at local nonprofit organizations through volunteer outreach and capacity building that provides leadership training and community service opportunities for youth. 

Our Members earn money towards past or future education and gain valuable professional experience, while also building social capital in local communities! SCI AmeriCorps is looking for individuals who can commit to 1200 hours of service between December 2020 and June 2021 on a full-time schedule. Members receive a bi-weekly stipend and professional development training, are eligible for free health care, and can apply for student loan forbearance. Upon successful completion of service, Members earn a Federal Education Award worth over $4000 which can be used for student loans or continuing education! The SCI AmeriCorps Program is also looking to partner with local nonprofits to host members who will serve 900 hours between January 2020 and June 2021 at their organization. Our Members support youth development through volunteer outreach and capacity building, and also provide leadership training and community service-learning opportunities for youth at our partner organizations.
