20th Anniversary Open House in Woburn!

Published by Leah Mulrenan on

In celebration of our 20th year, SCI hosted an open house at the James L. McKeown Boys and Girls Club. Our event was well attended by over 50 individuals who we had the opportunity to get to know more about. They also had the opportunity to learn more about what SCI is doing in the Woburn community, and beyond. There were art activities and refreshments, including delicious muffins, generously donated by The Studio Cafe.

SCI President & Founder, David Crowley shared “We had a great time celebrating our 20th with a wonderful mix of longtime supporters and new friends. The JLM Boys & Girls Club was a very fitting place to host the event, as our partnership with them goes back to our first year!”

It was a pleasure to see familiar faces and meet brand-new ones! We wish to express our appreciation to the JLM Boys & Girls Club of Woburn for letting us utilize their beautiful space. And a special shout out to The Studio Cafe for donating delicious pastries!

SCI has enjoyed great support from our elected officials over the years. Thank you to the following who were able to attend the Open House event. School Committee members Colleen Cormier, Ellen Crowley, Michael Mulrenan, Andrew Lipsett and City Council President Michael Concannon.

As part of the event, we held a raffle for gift cards to the newly opened Dora’s Mexican Restaurant, Studio Cafe, as well as tickets to the Trolley Winter Lights Tours. However, the ice cream from Blanche’s Ice Cream truck sealed the deal. It was an overall thankful event and we would like to thank everyone who came to our 20th Anniversary Open House.
