AmeriCorps Host Site Applications

Published by Phil Gordon on

The SCI AmeriCorps Program is accepting applications from organizations to host Members for the 2021-2022 Service Year! The deadline for priority consideration is this Friday, March 5th. Applications received after the deadline will be considered on a rolling basis until available slots have been filled.

The SCI AmeriCorps Program supports youth achievement in Greater Boston through Members who engage in volunteer outreach, youth development, and capacity building activities at our host site partner organizations. Each year, twenty-five (25) SCI AmeriCorps Members build social capital by helping community organizations connect young people with experiences, resources and the networks they need to succeed. Organizations can host a SCI AmeriCorps Member serving as a Volunteer Outreach Coordinator (VOC) or Youth Leadership Coordinator (YLC).

SCI AmeriCorps Host Sites engage a Service Member who is committed to serving 1700 hours, full-time, between September 2021 and June 2022. Additional benefits include SCI-managed recruitment and interview process, as well as handling Member background checks, benefits, and compensation. SCI also provides Members with training and professional development opportunities, and Host Sites with ongoing member support and performance monitoring.
