Empower Young Leaders with SCI

Over the course of two years, Divine and her peers were awarded nearly $4,000 through SCI’s Pitch Contest while receiving mentorship from their volunteer coaches. What started off as a 6-week, self-care pilot project for teen girls at the Boys & Girls Club of Lynn has grown into a year-round program for all Club members to promote peer mental health.

“We will always be thankful to SCI for allowing us to experience opportunities we can’t access at school. SCI empowers us.”
Divine
2024 & 2025 Youth Team Leader for Lynn Lady Leaders

The 2025 Youth Grant Pitch Contest empowered 87 youth leaders to impact their communities, with 90% of youth agreeing that working with adults in the program increases opportunities for themselves and their peers.

“Our youth have grown so much over the past two years. They have learned essential public speaking skills, gained amazing mentorship, and have ownership over their own program.”
