For some donors, 2025 may be a particularly opportune year to make a charitable gift to support SCI’s growth in a tax-efficient manner. With changes to tax law on the horizon, donating in 2025 could be more beneficial from a tax perspective than 2026 for some donors.

Every donor’s circumstances are different, and we recommend consulting your tax or financial advisor to determine what approach makes sense for you. We’d be happy to connect you with some additional resources on this topic if that is of interest to you.

Also, keep in mind that Massachusetts now has a charitable contributions deduction. It’s available to all taxpayers, whether or not you itemize deductions on your federal return.
