Vaccine Clinics
Social Capital Inc.’s Vaccine Equity and Access Program (VEAP) is partnering with Woburn United Methodist Church (WUMC) and Family Practice Group of Arlington to host a series of COVID vaccine clinics this spring! The next clinic will be held at WUMC on Saturday, June 4th from 9am to 12pm. People may receive first or second doses as well as boosters, and everyone age 5+ can get a vaccine. We will offer the Pfizer vaccine for clinic attendees of all ages. In addition to the vaccines offered, there will be activities and food available for the whole family to have fun. Translators will also be on site to provide additional services to all any and all members of the community who might need help. No pre-registration will be required, but a quick RSVP is appreciated to help us plan for enough vaccines and food!
If you are already vaccinated, bring a friend who needs any of their shots and you will receive a $25 gift card!

Why Boosters are Important
Boosters dramatically increase protection from COVID, even Omicron- they are 82% effective at “preventing COVID-19–associated emergency department and urgent care encounters” and 90% effective at “preventing COVID-19 associated hospitalizations.” (Source: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/71/wr/mm7104e3.htm)
It’s important to get boosted right now because most people received their vaccines almost a year ago! We know the protection given by vaccines wanes over time as our immune systems gradually forget what the vaccines taught them. Additionally, with cases low right now, there is also low demand- which means a very low (if any!) wait time to get it
Who is Eligible / When Am I Eligible
Everyone 5+ is eligible for a vaccine at our clinic
If you were vaccinated more than 5 months ago with either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or more than 2 months ago with J&J, you are eligible for a booster shot of any brand
If you had COVID, you can get a booster shot as soon as your isolation period is over
If you received monoclonal antibodies when you had COVID, you must wait until 90 days after you last received the antibodies to receive a vaccine or booster
