On Thursday, March 20, 2025, Social Capital Inc.’s Leaders for an Equitable Tomorrow (LET) celebrated Woburn’s 2nd Annual Kindness Day with the Woburn Senior Center at an intergenerational event called “Kind Activities for Seniors and Teens.” Over 60 local students, residents, and volunteers honored the power of kindness.
This summer, Social Capital Inc. partnered with the North Suburban YMCA and the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn in their summer camp programs to foster safe spaces and growth opportunities for the migrant youth in Woburn, thanks to the tireless efforts of Vitalie Memeus.
While SCI’s Leaders for an Equitable Tomorrow (LET) interns Jacoby Altman, Luke Sheldon, and Valery Verdier strategized program plans for the upcoming school year, activities related to mental health and social justice were also sprinkled throughout their summer.
With their SCI Youth Grant Pitch Contest (YGPC) grant award of $1,200, the Intrepid Keystone Club launched their Bridging the Gap Fair on June 8, 2024. The Intrepid Keystone Club is a team of youth leaders at the JLM Boys & Girls Club of Woburn that aims to provide leadership development opportunities for high school teens through academic success, career preparation, and community service.
Intergenerational engagement was evident through the You, Me & AI: A Multigenerational Conversation On Mental Health, Bias & Digital Inclusion workshop on Wednesday, May 22nd, at the Woburn Public Library. The public workshop was offered through the Leaders for an Equitable Tomorrow (LET) program and hosted by Social Capital Inc., the Network For Social Justice, Joint Family, and the Woburn Public Library.
