This project will match isolated and handicapped seniors with local volunteers, who will assist them in various outdoor chores such as snow shoveling and leaf removal. Woburn Unites with a Vigil

Past Woburn Vigil

Woburn Unites: A vigil to show community support for our police officers and to offer hopes and prayers for a more just and peaceful world. The Woburn Unites Vigil will be held on Thursday 6-7pm, July 21, on Woburn Common.

From Orlando to Baton Rouge to Dallas, our nation has seen a disturbing amount of violence recently. The Woburn Unites Vigil represents an opportunity for us to come together to support our local police and to send a message that we are a welcoming community.

This is a nonpartisan event. While there certainly needs to be dialogue as to what policy steps ought to be taken to reduce violence and improve the societal conditions that breed it, the point of this event is to show our community’s unity around the need to support our police and to welcome and respect ALL members of the Woburn community.Read more
