Boys & Girls Club of Boston

The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Boston is to help young people, especially those who need it most, build strong character and realize their full potential as responsible citizens and leaders. SCI AmeriCorps members are placed at the main office of BGCB, serving all 11 affiliated clubs.

  • AmeriCorps members help coordinate media/communications as well as volunteer outreach and participate in service days with other organizations with similar missions.

Boston Alliance for Community Health

The Boston Alliance for Community Health (BACH) is a diverse city-wide partnership of
neighborhood coalitions and over 50 community-based partners working to make Boston a healthier and a more equitable place to live, play, learn and work.

  • In the past, SCI AmeriCorps members  helped plan resource fairs in March to reach out to residents across Boston so that they can learn more about getting involved with BACH, making connections to different community organizations, and the systemic issues that impact personal behaviors and health equity.
